Book Covers

Heya,
long time no post... I have been doing some stuff, just not posting. Sorry for being so idle. >.<
Today I will share two book covers I did recently, for portuguese authors: the first is Luis Magalhães' book "A Filha do Gelo" and de second is Odette de Saint-Maurice "As Meninas do Andar de Cima: O Assalto". At sale in portuguese book stores! ;)
I enjoy doing book covers and I'll be doing more in the near future. I feel very excited about it! :)

Sketchy funny strips

Sometimes I turn a funny life event into a comic strip. This is one of them, it happened almost exactly as in the drawings. ;)

Translation:

-Carina: *relaxing* "Ahhhh, let's take this bus ride to rest a little bit"

- Girl: "HI!! Daddy?..."

- Girl: "I just wanted to say that I'm coming over!" *blah blah blah*

*silence*
- Carina: *relaxing* "Ahhhh... it is now."

- Girl: "HI~!!"

- Girl: "it's auntie! It's just to say that I'm coming over!"

*silence*
- Carina: *resting one more time* "perhaps this is it..."

- Girl: "HIIII~~!!!"

- Carina: *hitting head on chair* "I give up..."
- Girl: "it's your cousin~!!! It's just to say that I'm coming over!!"

Elemental costumes

This was a lot of fun to do! This is "Water", "Air" and "Earth" costumes. Wouldn't it be fun to see them in a  dance show? :D

A special Christmas Tree

This is my 2012 Christmas card. :) An ideia that half came with music for a show and suddenly it was a tree! A Christmas one. :D

... these aren't exactly dance sketches, so they're in a different post. :P

Love for music and motion

Here are some of the stuff I've been doing mostly: dance drawings! I looooooooooove doing this!!!! It really is a passion for me. I listen to music and things just happen in my head! I wish I could sketch them or animate them as quick as they come. But for now this is what I can show. They are rather quick sketches, no reference is used in any of them.

Dance and music

When I listen to music, images and movement come into mind. These are two examples, quick paintings.
The first is obviously Michael Jackson... the song is "Morphine", one of his own.
The second is some chill out music... don't remember which one, or ones, now. Something that felt happy and free! :)

Sketches and magic!

Long time no post! To tell the truth, I miss my blog. :)
Here are some stuff I've been doing lately to re-open this up. I've been sketching a LOT! Oh yeah! :)

The first is a rogue, I gave him a quick color and here he is in the light.
Second are some Merida from "Brave" inspired drawings I made while listening to the movie's soundtrack. I love the song by the Mumford & Sons and Birdy (Learn me Right)!
Third, some faerie inspired drawings, and the last one too, but with some love for dancing. *heart*
