Dear Japan:

You have my thoughts and prayers.
If anyone can make it through, it's you.

Best of luck.

Love,

The Magic of Love

Illustration for a book featuring stories by children from 3 to 9 years. It's really interesting and cute to see some of these kids' ideas. :D The story that I illustrated was about a princess and a prince in love; there was also two dragons, a fairy, a gnome, a boy and a girl. The evil wizard and sorceress didn't fit in the picture, ah ah. I'm not entirely satisfied with the result, but I certainly enjoyed myself painting this.
I hope that the little author also enjoyed the way I pictured her story. :)

Some background concepts

Some concepts I developed for "The Sleeping Planet", a short musical film for children in which real actors acted with animated characters over painted backgrounds. I wasn't available to do more, so I fully painted only one background and sketched two more for the "What's Up" team (the studio working in the whole animation stuff behind the film).

The Hunter - some close-ups

A picture of Drizzt and Guenhwyvar in "Exile", 2nd book from "The Dark Elf trilogy" by R. A. Salvatore. Click on it to full-view it, looks much better. ^_^

Painted in PS CS3. Lost count of time spent on it. More info about the picture at my DA page.

Happy everything!

Joined Hearts

I've finished reading most of Salvatore's books of the "Legend of Drizzt" some time ago and I've been working on a couple of illustrations. This is the result of one of them: Drizzt getting together with Catti-brie, his female best friend.

More girls

A little bit of poetry...

I like this drawing but it looks weird, somehow...

They look lost in the cold winter... but not lonely.

They've been apart for a while... ;)

I love drawing women. They're absolutely beautiful!

Adoro desenhar mulheres. São simplesmente lindas!

Random faces

... and it's basically it. :P They're all characters imagined by me, drawn randomly as my mind wandered their world. You may recognize the dark elf at the top-left corner, though... the resemblances are no coincidence. :P

Silver and Gold

Pencil lines of this painting I've made for Adele Sessler's Silver and Gold contest, featuring her characters Semiyar and Diana.

A remarkable shot

A drawing I made of Drizzt and Catti-brie, picturing a scene from book "Starless Night", from R.A. Salvatore. I'm completely hooked on the books right now. For years I didn't get past "The Dark Elf trilogy"... ah ah.

I based myself on the wondrous Todd Lockwood paintings of Drizzt and friends for the clothes, because Todd Lockwood is made of awesomeness!!!

D&D Bros

So it's finally painted! If you scroll down you'll see the drawing before I painted it. This was made for a friend and it's picturing our Dungeon & Dragon characters: he's an elf hunter and I'm an elf rogue. We thought it would be funny if we were siblings in game, since we have chosen the same race. ;)

Gracious flower

This lady was inspired by character Lizzy, from the wonderful BBC series "Pride and Prejudice". I'm a big fan! :)
I edited the image. When I returned here I didn't like what I saw, so... this version looks better to me.

Yuna VS Lara Croft!

An old parody I made of Yuna and Lara Croft. :D I felt kinda shocked when I saw what they had made of Yuna in Final Fantasy 10-2, lol...

Daily Sketch #13

Wolf again! ;P Speedpaint of a concept I had in mind.

Outra vez um lobo! ;P A pintura rápida de uma ideia q me surgiu.

Daily Sketch #12

The "daily" sketches are slowing... More work and stress, it sucks but it's great to have work! :D

Anyway, today I give you a thoughtful girl. What would you say of her expression, does she look in love or something? (either way, drinks always help!)

Four legged cutie

I once saw a photograph of a wolf cub with an expression very much like this. So this is my attempt to reproduce it from memory. I have no idea how the original picture looks like anymore, but I'm sure I captured the cub's expression just for wanting to laugh at it. :D

Butterfly faerie

Here's a cutie I share with you today. I made her some time ago, based on a person. :)

Daily Sketch #11

Back, after a weekend's break! :D
Today I made a drawing based on Haruka, from Haruka and the Magic Mirror. It's a 3D animated film made in Japan. I watched it recently and quite enjoyed it! It's very beautiful visually. :)

Hoje fiz um desenho baseado numa personagem chamada Haruka, do filme Haruka and the Magic Mirror. É um filme em 3D produzido no japão. Vi-o recentemente e gostei bastante. Muito bonito visualmente. :)

Brother elves

Today I'm sharing a drawing. One I'm coloring now and hope to finish it soon (it's a gift for someone). :)
