I've been absent from the blog lately, but I'm not artistically inactive... When I'm not animating or making shooting boards for clients, I create personal drawings and illustrations that I upload using my phone or the iPad, mostly. So, due to practical reasons I rarely use the blog for the uploads.

Here's the finished piece. :) Another one on underwater atmospheres... I guess I have something about them, without giving much thought about it...
This painting is watercolors, plus watercolor pencils and some white acrylic paint. Size 32×24

The Reason

Love this song from Hoobastank, "The Reason". *heart* I guess the rests speaks for itself... I wasn't thinking about the song when I drew this, but in the end, as I looked at them, the song kept coming into mind. :)

This was done with pencil on paper, painted digitally with open sourse software Krita. I've been experimenting with it and I really like it! :) Much more sensitive and responsive with the wacom than photoshop.

"Dragon Age" meme

Ahahah, I was going through my art stuff and found this, back from 2011.
I had finished playing the famous RPG "Dragon Age" - the last game I really got hooked in and actually the last game played since. I enjoyed playing so much and felt like colaborating in a famous meme at Deviant Art.
So here is my personal input of the game in a series of drawings! :) The meme is a unique long/vertical image, so I have cut it into several images for better view.
I really really had fun doing this! :) Enjoy the drawings and the humor, if you know in context of the game. ;)

Fire Dress?

Remember my elemental costumes? :D
I said at the time that I was working on "fire" dress, and that was true... But the result wasn't what I had in mind so I left it for while. Then I started this painting... I didn't mean to turn it into a fire elemental sort of paintng, but it turned out that way. So... here is Fire Dress after quite some time! ;)

Edit:
In case you're curious, here is the older version of Fire dress... unfinished. I felt it needed more work and more thinking. :D I love the colors, though!

Flora - Iconic

This is Flora, the character of ICONIC Network, a congress of animation & concept art from Brazil. :) Great artists there!
They challenged us to re-draw their character just for fun and I felt like participating; I liked the character already, she's really cute! I had fun drawing and painting her and here is the result. ;)

Horses!

Back on track, folks! :)
Sorry for being so absent these past months, artistic wise. Some changes happened in my life, I needed to adjust and figure out a lot of things. I'm happy that I'm back and I will be posting more stuff. :)
Today I'm sharing another quick painting (2 hours, +/-). I didn't draw horses for years so it felt good drawing them again! I used to draw horses a lot when I was a little girl; they were my favorite animal until the wolf replaced them. ;)  Sincde then I almost forgot how much I love horses... will sure be drawing them more!

I notice my paintings get a lot more saturated than the originals when I submit them to blogger. Can't figure out why? Oh well...

Light on Water

Letting my mind flow while creating is very relaxing... Now that my mind is peaceful and quiet I can go to sleep. :)

Leaves on a breeze

Afternoon in the park inspired... danced on trees that day, not caring what people would think. I was alone, it felt joyful and liberating! The leaves were mostly yellow and brown with all kinds of shades. There were lots and lots on the ground, like a thick carpet. It's great to walk on the leaves and even kick them so they fly all over. :)

Peace for Peace

Concerning the recent events in Paris, my message is: peace for peace. Don't fight; don't indulge in the same actions that you so condemn. Hate generates more hate, violence generates more violence. Nothing can possibly justify killing people, and certainly not revenge. The point is to END that. And it must be done by example. Violence can only be healed with peace, love and understanding. This is a language violence is not used to see, so we must show it.

There has been enough pain and loss. We can rise above this.
Let us stand with our hearts united. Let our souls be peaceful.

Although its wings are stained with blood, the bird will continue to fly no matter what.
